A Gorgeous, Historic Wedding Venue Near Kansas City
Davis Event Space is a beautiful wedding venue near Kansas City, steeped in history and charm. Originally built in 1915 as the Davis Brothers Garage, our venue has a storied past. In 2016, the Freelands and the Becks undertook a complete renovation of this historic building, transforming it into the stunning space it is today.
After nearly two years of renovations, Beck Event Space officially opened its doors to Cass County and the Kansas City Metro in 2017. With the Becks’ retirement in late 2023, the Freelands saw an opportunity to honor the building’s rich history by renaming it Davis Event Space. This new name pays tribute to its roots and the beloved Historic Square District.
Our venue is proudly listed on the National Historic Registry under the Davis Brothers Garage. Jill and Mike Freeland envisioned an event space near Kansas City that reflects the history and elegance of this historic site. Our experience using the Davis Event Space (formerly Beck Event Space) for our wedding day was great! Both Scott and Jill were so accommodating leading up to the event and were so helpful answering questions throughout the entire planning process. They were easy to work with and that made the wedding planning process even better. The bridal suite was great for getting ready, and there were plenty of great places for pictures in the space itself. I had several guests comment on the event space on the day of my wedding and after the event. I highly recommend the venue!
